As a parent, there is a seemingly neverending list of things to be cleaned and tidied. Since a high chair is one of the most used pieces of furniture, with the highest likelihood of mess, you will need to clean it regularly. While a quick wipe-down with disinfectant spray will be perfectly fine most days, we recommend giving it a deeper clean around once a month.
How to clean a wooden high chair

Brush off loose crumbs and debris onto the floor and vacuum. If you have a handheld vacuum, you can use this to give the chair a once-over.

Wipe down the wooden high chair with a damp cloth, ensuring you cover the seat, tray and any crevices where food may have got stuck.

Disinfect the tray thoroughly with a disinfectant wipe or white vinegar and water solution. Keeping the tray clean is important as this is what your child will eat from.

Use a damp cloth to wipe the chair, legs and full exterior of the wooden high chair.

If your high chair has any fabric elements like a seat cover, cushion or straps, remove them and pop them in the washing machine or leave them to soak in warm water with some detergent. Rinse and allow to dry before putting them back on the chair.
