Can a baby sleep in a Moses basket overnight?
For the first six months of your little one’s life, it's recommended that they sleep in the same room as you in a cot or Moses basket. They are a great choice for your baby’s first bed as they are comfortable, safe and supportive. Having your baby in a Moses or wicker basket next to you is a type of bedside sleeping with many benefits. You are close to your baby for easy access to nighttime feeds or if they become unsettled. This makes life a lot easier, especially if you are healing from a caesarean birth and have limited mobility. Bedside sleeping may also be preferable if you are worried about co-sleeping, which can carry a risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome if done improperly.
