This question was always on our minds during every journey when our kids were small. We made sure to give them the best: a comfortable car seat, a pleasant atmosphere, ... we really tried, but something was always missing.
A car trip with kids can be quite a challenge.
Kids often got restless during the drive. What caught our attention was what they did with their feet – they would kick the seatback or rest their feet wherever they could. We realized they were uncomfortable and didn’t have anywhere to rest their feet. They were feeling uneasy, and we wondered what we could do about it.
Why did we add a footrest to the car seat?
We were determined to make our kids’ journeys as comfortable as possible, because only then could they travel safely. That’s why we added a footrest to the car seat. It only took a few minutes to notice the difference. The kids were calm, resting their feet on the footrest, and we could focus on the road, knowing they were comfortable and safe.
