How to fit an Isofix base
You must fit your Isofix base correctly to ensure safety for your little one while travelling. Before fitting, check your car seat is level - this ensures that the seat doesn’t tilt forwards or backwards.

Locate the Isofix base anchor points in your vehicle. These are the points built into your car that allow the base to be plugged in. The location of these fixing points will vary by the make and model of your car, but they can generally be found in these places:

At the rear of your car, on either side - this is usually the safest position.

In front or behind your child’s headrest - this can be best for installing a forward-facing seat with a harness built-in.

On one side only- this can support a forward or rear-facing seat, depending on its position.

Push the connectors on your Isofix base into the anchor points until you hear a click. Listening to the click is important to ensure the base is installed securely. Once fitted, test the base with your child’s car seat and ensure it is sitting level without any tilting.
